Architectural Review Committee (ARC)
This Committee reviews all new and reconstruction projects to ensure that they conform to Alta Sierra’s Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CC&Rs) and the Architectural Review Committee Guidelines.

The Alta Sierra Architectural Committee (ASAC) was established by the developers in 1963. In 1977, the review and approval responsibilities of several surrounding residential areas were assigned to that original ASAC. In 2001 the committee became part of ASPOA for the benefit of coordination and insurance, and the name was changed to the Architectural Review Committee (ARC). The ARC is referenced in our Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CC&R’s) as the approving body for architectural and site improvements.
As new homes are built and existing properties are improved, compliance with our ARC’s reasonable procedures becomes more important in maintaining our attractive foothills neighborhoods. All owners are responsible for their compliance with the CC&R’s and our ARC Guidelines.
The ARC serves our community by maintaining these goals through enforcement actions when appropriate. ASPOA requests the cooperation of all residents.
Please call any member of the ARC if you have any questions regarding these Guidelines.
No building, fence, wall or other permanent structure shall be erected, altered or placed on any plot in Alta Sierra subdivisions until building plans, specifications and plot plan showing the location of structures on the lot have been submitted to and approved in writing as to conformity and harmony of external design and as not interfering with the reasonable enjoyment of any other lot, by an Architectural Committee.
Upon failure by the committee to approve or disapprove such plans and specifications within fifteen days after the same have been properly presented, approval thereof will be deemed to have been made, provided the proposed construction complies with all the provisions otherwise of this declaration. If any member of the committee resigns or is unable to act, the remaining members shall appoint his successor. Pending such appointment, the remaining members shall discharge the functions of the committee. No member of any Architectural Committee, however created shall receive any compensation or make any charge for his services as such.
