The Alta Sierra Property Owners Association is a community-based organization located in the foothills of Northern California. Not far away are the communities of Grass Valley and Nevada City, both part of Nevada County. The Association (A.S.P.O.A.), a not-for-profit organization made up of volunteers, has served the Alta Sierra community since 1971. It is governed by an elected Board of Directors, consisting of nine members and several standing committees, which establish and administer its policies and programs.

Our two beautiful new bronze stags that grace our upgraded entry at Alta Sierra and Hwy 49 have found a home and are happily settled in. Now they just need names to feel a real part of the community.
Please send in your creative ideas for their new names. The winner will have their picture taken with the “boys” and will appear in our next edition of the paper. Deadline to submit names is Oct 12.
The ASPOA Board met on Aug. 4, 2008 at the Alta Sierra Country Club in GrassValley.The next Board meeting will be held on the second Monday of September (9/8/08) instead of the first because of the Labor Day holiday.
ASPOA will host a public forum for our 2 candidates for Nevada County Supervisor, District 2.Most of Alta Sierra is within District 2, with the exception of our northern edge which is represented by District 1 Supervisor, Nate Beason.The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 PM at the Alta Sierra Country Club on Tuesday, September 23.Absentee Ballots will be mailed to registered voters shortly after this program. We’d love to see you at our ASPOA Summer Bash! It’s on June 29th at Alta Sierra Elementary School, 16607 Annie Dr. Your meal is $5 if you’re an ASPOA member, and $8 if you’re not a member. You can join ASPOA at the picnic if you wish. Dues are $25 annually, new membership year begins July 1st.
Catered barbecued burgers and hot dogs with all the fixin’s, salad, dessert and soft drinks. (If you prefer to sit outside, please bring your folding chairs or a picnic blanket and we will do the rest!)
Games umpired by Advisor Jeff Carrow and his Kiwanis Key Club members.
Free raffles with prizes provided by Alta Sierra businesses.
