The ASPOA Board of Directors met at 9:00 am on Mar 1, 2010, at the Alta Sierra Country Club. Board members discussed a number of topics.
The ASPOA Board has settled on Thursday April 15th for our 2010 Town Hall Meeting, to be held at the Alta Sierra Country Club. Some organizations represented will be: Sheriff, CHP, Firesafe Council, and Environmental Health.
We listened to a presentation by Assistant Planners for Nevada County concerning Nevada County developed and undeveloped trail areas. The best time for trails is during new area property development. The planning organization will be partnering with various groups as they’re ready to develop new trails.
Scotch Broom Removal Day is April 3rd, for the Thiessen Trail (corner of Alta Sierra Dr. and Dog Bar Rd). Volunteers are needed. More detailed information is in this month’s Alta Sierran.
Yard Waste Removal Weekend is scheduled for May 22-23. More detailed information is in this month’s Alta Sierran.
Another upcoming ASPOA activity was discussed – the annual ASPOA Picnic, at the Alta Sierra Country Club on Sunday June 6th, fro approximately 3:00 – 6:00.
The ASPOA Board discussed various options for a third entrance to Alta Sierra, on E. Lime Kiln. A specific plan was agreed to, and the committee is ready to begin executing the plan. Look for a lovely new entrance taking shape soon.
The ASPOA Board met on August 3, 2009 at the Alta Sierra Country Club in Grass Valley.
The Board welcomed Anita DuPratt, who will be Chairperson of our Trails Maintenance Committee. She gave a brief personal history, which will appear in detail in the next Alta Sierran. Continue Reading »
