Board Minutes - Highlights Aug 2009

- The ASPOA Board met on August 3, 2009 at the Alta Sierra Country Club in Grass Valley.
- The Board welcomed Anita DuPratt, who will be Chairperson of our Trails Maintenance Committee. She gave a brief personal history, which will appear in detail in the next Alta Sierran.
- Dawn McGrath came to our Board meeting, and introduced herself. She will be helping on our Community Standards committee. Thank you, Dawn.
- Joe Carman, Landscape Maintenance Committee Chairman, would like the Board to consider the following projects in the future: Dog Bar/Carrie Dr. clean-up, spruce up the median at Alta Sierra & Hwy. 49, and benches and grass around the pond on Dog Bar.
- A committee will visit Rincon Del Rio, a senior living retirement community, proposed for our southern Nevada County.
- DonnaLee Johnson, chair of our Youth Activities, requested that we forgo our ASPOA Halloween event and instead contribute the funds to the Alta Sierra School to be used for their technology program. The school has requested donations for this purpose and the Board felt more children in our community would benefit from this contribution.
- Because of Labor Day, our next ASPOA Board meeting will be on Aug. 31, 2009 instead of Sept. 7, 2009.
