Alta Sierra Property Owners Association

The ASPOA Board met on Jan 5, 2009 at the Alta Sierra Country Club in Grass Valley.  Mr Ed Scofield, our new District II Supervisor was in attendance.  During the Board meeting he thanked the Board and all Alta Sierra residents for our support.  He wants to attend as many ASPOA Board meetings as he can, and get to know all the local issues/concerns/problems.

ASPOA Pres. Al Schafer attended the Farewell to Sue Horne (former Supv Dist II) event.  He said it was a large party, and he had the opportunity to speak to lots of people about Alta Sierra issues. 

The Board discussed the proposed septic system legislation and its effect on Alta Sierra.  The Board agreed to holding a Town Hall meeting at the Alta Sierra Country Club, tentative date of Tuesday evening, March 10^th 2009.  More details will be sent out later.  There will be a second Scotch Broom eradication effort, probably in March or April.  We hope to have contracts in place late in January with the Union newspaper, publisher of the Alta Sierran, and with Ferrellgas.
