Board Minutes - Highlights August 2008

The ASPOA Board met on Aug. 4, 2008 at the Alta Sierra Country Club in Grass Valley.  The next Board meeting will be held on the second Monday of September (9/8/08) instead of the first because of the Labor Day holiday.

Committee reports were given and reviewed.

 

The Board reviewed and updated some of the job descriptions of the ASPOA Board positions.  This is an on-going task, which we hope to complete in the next few meetings.

 

The first “Alta Sierra Days” will be on Sat. Oct. 11, 2008.  The event will take place in the parking lot located in front of Wells Fargo Bank.  Each business participating will have a booth space.  Food, refreshment, and music are planned.  This is not ASPOA sponsored, although we do support this worthwhile event.

 

NID has informed us that they will not be able to offer their site for yard waste this year.  Alternative sites were discussed.

 

There will be changes coming soon to the entrances of Alta Sierra at both Dog Bar and Hwy. 49.  The rock signage at Dog Bar is almost ready for instillation.  The main entrance at Hwy 49 will have new lettering, landscaping, and more. 

 

The date has been set for the candidate’s night. ( Sept. 23, 2008)  This will be held at the Alta Sierra Country Club.  Time to be announced.
