Board Minutes - Highlights May 2008

The ASPOA Board meeting was held on May 5, 2008 at the Alta Sierra Country Club in Grass Valley.
The first topic of discussion was concerning recent residents’ complaints regarding unsightly vehicles, unsafe situations with kids and their bicycles congregating, noise and dust pollution from recreational riding of quads and motorcycles, unsanitary and unsafe situation at a home with too many dogs. We’ll be working to mitigate these situations.
Carol Baker (Membership Chair / ASPOA Vice President) discussed activities required to accomplish ASPOA’s 2008 Membership Drive, culminating on July 1st.
Al Schafer reminded us of the Yard Waste weekend event (May 31 – Jun 1). For details see the May 2008 Alta Sierran, page 14.
We’ve received quite a few requests to assist Alta Sierra homeowners with removing their Scotch broom. Removal will be accomplished before Yard Waste collection event.
Details of the Alta Sierra Summer Bash picnic were discussed. It will be a fun event. Hope to see you all there!
The last item discussed was planning for upgraded signage and landscaping for entrance to Alta Sierra at Alta Sierra Dr. and Hwy 49. Still in early stages, Kathy Labelle is committee chair.
