Friends of Hospice Butterfly Garden of Remembrance Fund Raiser

This is the 8th year for Friends of Hospice Butterfly Garden of Remembrance held each year at Hooper & Weaver in Nevada City on Memorial Day. This year the dates are May 24, 25 and 26th.
A butterfly stake is placed in the garden for each remembrance card received. A $15 donation is requested for each remembrance. The return card is laminated and hung with ribbons on the butterfly stakes and placed in alphabetical order in the garden. Invitations were mailed out in the middle of April..but reply cards and envelopes can be picked up from the Hospice office, Hooper and Weaver, B &C Home Center, Weiss Brothers Nursery and the Hospice Thrift stores.

The garden is open from 10a.m. until 4p.m. with member of Friends of Hospice in attendance to assist if needed. It is an impressive display of butterfly stakes under three large butterly sculptures and a pathway lined with beautifuly, colorful plants from Weiss Bros. Nursery.
All proceeds benefit Hospice of the foothills, a community based non-profit organization providing care to patients, families and the community during all phases of loss.
