Kathy Carey September 9th, 2007
The monthly meeting of ASPOA was held on Sept. 3, 2007 at Joe Mayer’s residence
Committee Reports:
Treasury: Treasurer Rich Daniels reported that Placer Savings, the bank we have been doing business with for many years, has been bought out by Wells Fargo. They have new rules, regulations and costs associated with this. We will see if this works out for us and if not will look at moving our business elsewhere. He also reported that ASPOA bought a new dogwood tree for the entrance at
Community Standards: Randy Smith who has been the chair for this committee has resigned his position. He will be missed. We all thank Randy for his many hours of work he has done for the Alta Sierra community. He received many phone calls and letters of complaint this month. Most concerned parked cars, barking dogs, and fencing issues.
Trails: The local Boy Scouts have volunteered to develop a map of the public trails in Alta Sierra. We are looking forward to having this done. Thank you scouts.
Landscape Maintenance: Joe Carman has been working overtime-securing bids and looking at rock and signage for the planned rock sign at the Dog Bar entrance to Alta Sierra. The project is moving along.
Membership: Carol Baker stated that we have 1060 members as of Aug. 2007. Second notices will be sent out to residents that have not yet paid their dues for the year.
